04/28/12: Going over some older stuff I realized I've never linked out to Chroma, a small game I wrote in GLBasic for a competition a few years back. The game is designed to run on a GP2X handheld, but can be compiled to run on Windows and other platforms. A video can be found here, and the source can be found here or here (external)03/06/12: I finally decided that the links section needed to be re-vamped as some of them were dead and others far out of date (as in, I hadn't visited those sites in more than a year). That said, a few new things can be found there now!
12/19/11: Went ahead and tossed up several derivations in the notes section after being mind-blown that I couldn't find them online already.
8/21/11: On the cusp of a new semester, and finally decided to update with a few new things. I've signed on with Dr. Robert Norwood's research group doing work on nanoparticles for optical composites, as well as photorefractive polymers for use in 3D displays.
In computer-related news, I put in a few minutes getting an open-source theft-prevention program called prey set up, looks slick so far and I recommend it highly.
5/20/11: Finally wrapped up both undergraduate degrees. Slowly making updates here of various code and written work generated during those four years, as well as content that was never transitioned over from the previous version of the site.
3/22/11: Did a quick write-up on glass strength as part of Anadtech's iPad 2 review, give it a read here.
10/23/10: Finally tackled my non-working screen brightness keys as well as other battery-killing problems on my laptop, chucked a short bit on it in the projects section.
10/16/10: The LaTeX scrapheap has been added, a place for useful bits of LaTeX that proved to be frustrating to find the first time.
10/08/10: Shameless self promotion: The UA college of engineering mentioned me in an article about the Da Vinci Scholarship.
10/03/10: Had a 15 minute headache trying to compile the Cisco VPN client to get to the University VPN. Found an alternative that required some work, put a bit up in the projects section.
09/27/10: Started a writeup on working with F2PY, currently filed under the python area in Projects!
09/23/10: Finally moved my Dell Mini 10 (Inspiron 1010) to Lucid Lynx, 10.04. To avoid video driver issues I used a version with the GMA 500 (Poulsbo) drivers slipstreamed in appropriately, which can be found here. If you need the video to work but have already installed vanilla 10.04 (or want to use the original image), check the instructions here.
09/11/10: Put up a short write-up under notes regarding running Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 in WINE, along with getting Platypus to play nice with it.
09/09/10: Check out the periodic table of the internet, and feel free to email me anything I might've overlooked.
